Welcome!

I am a professor of Computer Science at Colorado State University; I also hold an appointment in the Molecular, Cellular and Integrated Neuroscience (MCIN) program. My research interests are in biologically inspired computer vision, action recognition, and face recognition, and I co-direct the Computer Vision Laboratory with Ross Beveridge. I teach at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.

Here is my contact information, including maps and directions. You can try the phone or dropping by, but email is the surest way to get hold of me.

An Example of My Research

Play the video below to see one example of what I do. This was joint work in the summer of 2012 with iRobot and U.C. Berkeley as part of the DARPA Mind's Eye project. (Many thanks to Dr. Christopher Geyer and the folks at iRobot for producing this video).

Right clicking on the video should provide an option to view just the video, which will then come through at a higher resolution. Or navigate to the Mind's Eye project page using the links on right to see more videos and learn more about the project.
