Twin Sisters - Novermber 17, 2002

This trail is a one-hour drive from Fort Collins. It is 3.7 miles each way, and has some great views of Longs Peak on the way up.

There was a few inches of snow on the trail, which made hiking a bit tough in spots

This picture of Longs Peak was taken below the treeline, about halfway up the trail. It was still warm and sunny.

By the time we got closer to the summit, it was starting to get cloudy

The last bit of the trail was quite rocky, as you can see

The eastern plains, stretching way out past Thompson Canyon

Here we are at the summit. Elevation is about 11,400 ft. It was really cold.

It's me!

Longs Peak from the summit. The clouds make it look much more ominous than in the picture taken on the way up.
