The Background

The background is a fractal associated with the dynamical behavior of a traditional genetic algorithm. This fractal behavior occurs outside the space of feasible populations. Jenny Juliany and Michael Vose (1994). "The Genetic Algorithm Fractal," Evolutionary Computation 2(20):165-180.
