Bio Sketch Goo Jun is currently a Research Fellow at the Center for Statistical Genetics and at the Dept. of Biostatistics, University of Michigan. He has been developing methods and tools for large-scale next-generation sequencing data analysis, and made contributions to many projects including 1000 genomes and NHLBI exome sequencing project. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 2010 on statistical machine learning for remote sensing applications. He received his M.S. degree from University of Michigan and B.S. degree from KAIST, South Korea. Dr. Jun’s current research interest is focused on statistical and computational methods for analyses of large-scale sequencing data.
