The Computer Science Department has the following research concentrations:
Artificial Intelligence Group: computer vision, planning, machine learning, and evolutionary algorithms.
High Performance Computation Group: parallel computing, embedded systems, compilers, and specialized high-level languages for programming FPGAs.
Software Engineering Group: software testing, software metrics, software vulnerability, and formal models.
Computer Networks and Security Group: trusted and secure computing and network modeling.

Over the past five years, Department research support has been provided by a variety
