New York City, arguably the world's most vibrant and sprawling metropolis, occupies five boroughs,
each with its own distinct identity. These include Manhattan, Brooklyn, the Bronx, Queens and Staten Island.
The conference will take place in Manhattan, home to the most recognizable sites, with the dominant popular
perception of New York City. The conference venue is within the area of Wall Street and the Financial
District, one of Manhattan's most famous districts. This district was the first one and still
remains its most historic district. Wall Street investment banks coexist with landmarks like Trinity Church.
Battery Park draws people for its panoramic views. The World Trade Center is still one of the area's most significant
and popular destinations.

Seeking a roommate?
If a registered participant wants to look for other participants to share the room during ICVS'06,
the conference has created a mail-list to help participants of the ICVS 06 to find roommates:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/icvs06roomsharing.
The goal of this list is to provide initial contact among people interested in sharing accommodations during ICVS'06.
To subscribe, please send an e-mail to pinhanez@us.ibm.com with your name and e-mail. An invitation from the list
server will be sent you in a couple of days.
Please post in this list only messages announcing which days you are looking for a room mate and any
restrictions you may have (smoking/nonsmoking, gender, age, etc.).
Please avoid using this list to make detailed arrangements after a roommate was found.
The arrangements made through this list are not responsibility of ICVS'06 or any of its organizers.
This is a service provided the conference to help
participants, especially students, to find cheaper ways to attend the conference.
