Expanding Your Horizons Volunteers needed
ACM-W will be running a workshop for middle school girls interested in STEM at the Expanding Your Horizons conference. The conference will be Saturday April 14 from 9am to 3pm. The workshop that ACM-W is running will teach the girls how to encode text using binary and then let them create bracelets that hold a message, with each bead representing a bit.
We need as many volunteers as possible to make this a success, so please register
here if you are available to help! Make sure to add at the bottom that you want to work with the “Binary Bracelets” workshop.
After you register to vote please send an email firstname.lastname@example.org so that we have an estimate on numbers.
When: Saturday, April 14th, 9:00a.m. – 3:00p.m.
In an attempt to teach and practice self care and mindfulness, ACM-W will now be hosting a monthly yoga session on the first Thursday of every month. March 1st, April 5th, and May 3rd. Locations will be updated as they are determined.
Our general meetings are Thursdays at 5 in CSB 415! Everyone is welcome to come join the officers in planning future events.
