For this assignment, you are to attend the Career Fair in the Lory Student Center, being held January 24th and 25th. The CSU Career Center (on-line at http://career.stuser.colostate.edu/ describes the Career Fair at the web site http://career.stuser.colostate.edu/workshops_fairs/career_fair/. If you follow the links on the Career Fair web page titled "How Does a Student Prepare" and "5 Things To ...", you will find information about what you should bring to the fair, what you should get from the fair, and that you should not wear your grubbiest clothes.
Since you are just starting on your college studies, bringing a resume with you to show to companies is not critical. However, this is an excellent chance to gain some experience in typing up a resume and getting feedback from companies regarding how well your planned course of study and career objectives match the companies' needs. You are welcome to start with this sample resume, which is a Microsoft Word document.
Therefore, it is strongly suggested that you attend one of the Career Center's workshops on resume writing during the first week of this semester.
