December 3: Student course surveys are available on-line via RamCT. On-campus students, please fill out both surveys. The first one is for Chuck Anderson and the second one is for the GTA Jake Lee. Jake's survey starts with “ALSO, please fill out…”. Distance-learning students only have one form to fill out, for Chuck Anderson. Please complete these by December 20th. Most valuable to the instructors are any comments you feel like typing into the text boxes.

November 19: In this video from the IBM Brain Lab you will see a demonstration at about 2 minutes in of a hand-written digit recognition program.

September 26: Assignment 1 grading is complete. Here are some examples of good reports, about 160 pages worth! Please understand that these are not all of the very good reports we received.
August 26: After logging in to our CS545 web site, you may ask that all changes to Discussion pages, for example, generate an e-mail to you. Do this by visiting one of our Discussion pages, going to the pull-down menu on “more actions …” and selecting “Manage Subscriptions”. If you select “discuss:*”, you will receive e-mail for all changes to all Discussion pages.
