2007-05-05 -- At the base of the structure is this grave. A local who was also visiting Connolly's Folly told us that Mrs. Desmond Guinness was an Austrian Princess who married Desmond Guinness. She and Guinness had divorced when whe led an effort to preserve Connolly's Folly. Desmond still lives in the Leixlip area.
