Lectures

Overview

The lectures portion of the class is divided into lessons, one per week. Each lesson introduces a new topic.

Each lesson consists of:

a video and discussion
a set of classroom discussions over the homework assignments
a video lecture (viewed off-line)
a reading assignment (done off-line)
a homework assignment (done off-line)
a lesson quiz over the homework assignments (done off-line)

Format of the class

Each lecture will take the form of:

5 minutes of announcements (also posted to RamCT)
15 minutes of current topics in personal computing
30 minutes of open discussions over the homework.
- 3 topics, each taking 10 minutes
- 5 minutes of group discussion
- 5 minutes of class discussion
- IClicker quiz

Meeting days

We will only meet for lectures on Mondays - except when Monday is a holiday (week 2). Week 2 we will meet on Wednesday.
