General Announcements
There is NO textbook for section 1. Instead, you will be searching the Internet
for materials for our discussions.
There is a textbook if you are taking the ONLINE version of the course
- This course is for non-CS majors
- This is a course covering some practical skills including current
programming technologies (HTML, Java Scripts, Java Applets, etc.), and
also includes the great ideas behind computer science (such as that of an
algorithm, recursion, automata).
This course would be useful for someone
with an interest in learning about computer science, as well as how to do
more sophisticated things with computers than those provided in CS110, but
who do not have an interest in becoming programmers or computer scientists.
This course would also be ideal for students who are interested in exploring
computer science as a possible major, but are not sure what computer science
is about.
This course does not satisfy a requirement in the computer science department.
Check the schedule for assignments!
