Assignment: Career Fair

Instructions:

Attend one Career Fair. You may attend the All Campus Fair (may choose either of the 2 days), Construction Management Fair, or Engineering Fair. Check the Career Center website, CSU Career Center, and scroll down to 'See All of Our Events', for details on day, time, and location.

Prior to attending the Career Fair,

• Skim through and write a short list of questions based on samples from the Quintessential Careers web site,and follow the "200 suggested informational interview questions" link.
• Sample questions include:
  • What kinds of products does your company (or your part of your company) produce?
  • Does your company hire programmers? Is so, what kinds of things do they do?
  • Do you hire interns?
  • What kinds of things do you have interns work on?
  • What kinds of experience are you looking for in potential interns?
  • What do you most like about your company (or about your job)?

Your assignment is to talk to representatives from at least two different companies and write a short paper (paragraphs and/or bullets) with the following information:

• The name of the company
• The name of the person to whom you spoke
• The written questions you brought to ask company representatives with the answers. The questions should allow you to learn at least three things about the company.

This assignment should be submitted via Canvas as text in the submission box.
