Assignment 9: Personal Web Page
Description
From the Labs you have done you know
how to create and edit your own web page for your CS account.
If you have not already done so, please add some substance to your page.
The requirements for this assignment are fairly simple.
From a technical perspective, your web page must include the following:
- a title,
- your name,
- at least two main headings and two secondary headings,
- at least one image,
- the use of a table or the use of frames,
- some use of color,
- a link to the CS192 web page,
- a link that visitors can click to send you e-mail at an account
at which you typically receive mail (your instructor will use this
account to send comments on your webpage!),
- a link to the CS department home page,
- a link to your Cube.html page
(from Lab 4),
- at least three other links of interest to you
- You must have at least two web pages that you built yourself. You
must be able to "cross-navigate" between them (so you can go forward from
one page to the other); and your cross-navigation must be set up so that
you can cross-navigate between them without spawning a
new window or a new shell (for instance, if you added a link to
your "home" page in the cube program page and set things up so that you
could use the "back" browser navigation button to go between the pages
you would probably have done this last bit correctly).
In addition:
- Your website must tell something about you.
- Your website must reflect principles discussed in the
"Web Design" class lecture.
- All links must work. Words must be spelled correctly.
- Your website must be readable and usable. Hint: if your website is hard to
use or otherwise annoys your instructor, you will probably lose points!
- Your website must be in compliance with relevant CSU policies.
Use the links available on the class web page
in the On-Line Resources section to find links to HTML tutorials.
What You Must Turn In
The web page must be completed as of the date shown in the schedule. You may also turn in a printout of your web page (source or displayed content) if you wish.
Please verify that your personal Web page is accessible through the CS192
"Student Web Pages" link!
