Assignment: Enigma

Instructions:

A month before his death David Packard came to the Hewlett-Packard General Manager's meeting and, without explanation, read them "The Deacon's Masterpiece or The Wonderful One-Hoss Shay", a poem by Oliver Wendall Holmes (first published in 1858). Elaine recited this poem in class. There are copies of it on the web and in books. Find and read a copy. After you read it, write and submit a short paragraph (with perfect grammar and spelling, of course) directly into RamCT. In this paragraph hypothesize several (at least three) possible reasons David Packard did this. Identify which reason or reasons you think are most likely and explain why you think this.
