Instructions:

Begin creating a fun web page about you and your interests. Web page should begin to meet some of the requirements for the class required web pages. Read the following about websites.
(Note: we will add a java applet and javascript in subsequent labs).

To get started:

• Bring up a terminal window
• cd public_html
• edit (use editor such as gedit or emacs) your index.html and save changes
• bring up a browser and see what it looks like, url will be http://www.cs.colostate.edu/~your_login_name
• Make a few changes at a time and then refresh your browser to see results
• images for your web site should be a reference to the URL or saved as a file in your public_html directory. Remember to make your image readable by all.
  • chmod 644 image_name

Remember your website MUST be in good taste and follow university guidelines.

Before the end of the lab, show one of the instructors your web page AND submit the URL to your web page and who reviewed your webpages via the submission box in ramct.
