Major Project: Status Report #1
Instructions:
Your major project status report must be in paragraph format. It must be approximately
one page double spaced. Before turning in this report you must show and discuss your project status with a course instructor. At a minimum, your report should contain the following information:
- BEFORE you write this report, look at the comments that you have received from us on your major project proposal.
Ensure that you address the feedback in these assignments as we will review them before we read your report.
- Include: your name, section number, date, and the name of the instructor to whom you showed your projects to at the top
- Your first sentence(s) must be a description of what your project is.
- What have you accomplished so far?
- Name one thing that you have learned so far doing this project that you have enjoyed learning.
- Name one thing that has been more challenging than you expected.
- What changes, if any, have you made to your original plan? If none, say so
- Do you feel that you are on track with your project? If so why? If not, why not and what can be done to get back on track?
- What are your next steps?
- Attach your major project log. This log should include every date that you worked on your project and notes from that day.
Notes can be what you did, what your challenges were, etc. Include how much time spent for each log entry. See attached sample
time log. If your log is in a format that can not be attached, bring it to class.
At this stage, our expectation is that your topic has been approved by a course instructor and that you have
made progress toward completion of your project. Unless you meet these criteria, you will not earn points for this assignment.
