Assignments

In this class you will write your programs in python. There are recitation exercises and programming assignments. Recitation exercises are demo-ed to the TA. Programming assignments are usually due on a Friday, any time of day. You may turn them in by Monday, any time of day, the next week with a 10% penalty. After that you may not submit an assignment.

Written Homeworks

You will do written homeworks on the more theoretical aspects of this course. They are usually due Mondays in class, or the following Wednesday in class, with a 10% penalty.

Recitation exercise one, getting familiar with python strings and arrays, palindromes. Due in recitation week 2.

Written homework one, open / closed problems. Due: Mon Sep 16, in class.

PA1, Heaps and Priority Queue Operations. Due: Fri Sep 20.

Recitation exercise two, getting familiar with python dictionaries, graph traversals. Due: Fri Oct 4.

PA2, Huffman Compression. Due: Fri Oct 18.
