Specifics on software available here in the CS Department.
- OpenGL
- OpenGL and GLUT are a standard part of the Fedora Linux used within the Department.
Nothing special is needed beyond what is described in the general references above and
demonstrated in the code samples provided with the Lectures.
- Maple
- The Mathematics Package Maple will be used to illustrate material during the course of the semester.
Student are not expected to learn Maple in any deep sense, but students may find it handy to download
and experiment with pre-build worksheets. The Maple 11 Executables are located at:
- /s/parsons/l/sys/maple11/bin/xmaple
- /s/parsons/l/sys/maple11_64/bin/xmaple
The first should run on all platforms, the second will run better on 64 bit machines.
