Submission Guidelines using Checkin

We will be using the automated grading system for the submission of programing assignments. It is completely web based so you will be able to submit your assignment from any computer with internet accesss, but keep in mind your assignment will be run on one of the department machines. This automated system also provides the user with feedback on how their code runs on a couple of preliminary tests which are subset of the total testing criterion used for grading your assignments.

Logging In

  1. Navigate to the CS200 course website.
  2. Click the Checkin tab.
  3. Click the "Guest" in the lower left-hand corner and provide your CS eid as well as your CS password.
  4. Reclick the "Checkin" tab.

Submitting an Assignment

  1. Log into Checkin
  2. Click the "Open" button corrseponding to the assignment you would like to submit.
  3. Click the "Browse" button and navigate to what you would like to submit (most submissions will be a .jar file for CS200).
  4. Click the "Submit" button.

Viewing Results

Note that it may take up to a couple of minutes to view prelimanry results for each submission. To veiw the results of a preliminary test, click the "Details" button next to the "Preliminary Testing" text. Your output is will be on the left of the screen while the correct output is on the right.

Results for the final tests will be available after the late assignment due date. To veiw these results click the "Details" button next to the "Final Grade" text.

Note: Your output must exactly match the correct output to recieve credit for the test.
