Expectations for deliverables

Assignments will be done individually.

Quizzes will be given on-line using RamCT.

The midterm and final exams will be a combination of take-home exam and on-line quizzes. Several days will be set aside for these exams to accomodate those that are working. The take-home exam will include at least one week-end day and one weekday.

Overall, we expect that this course will require 2-3 hours outside class for every hour in lab/class.

Late and Makeup Policies

Final Exam & Quizzes: Make-up exams are only given in extraordinary circumstances (e.g., illness, death of family member). Documentation will be required for the absence to be excused per department policy. Students must consult with the instructor as soon as possible, preferably before the start of the exam. Course examination dates are listed in the website; be aware of them and plan accordingly.

Extra credit may be offered in this course, if so it will be offered to everyone equally.

Grading Process

Your TA will be responsible for grading the tests, assignments, and labs. If you have an issue with your grading, talk with the TA first, then to your instructor if you still disagree. Please do not post a message on the discussion board about your grade.

Final exams may be subject to a curve, with the average set to be a low B. Assignments, quizzes and discussions will not be curved.
