Testing

Types of Testing

There are different types of testing that will occur in this class. Each is described below:

  • Quizzes. There will be several quizzes given during the semester. To cover unforeseen circumstances, the student's worst quiz score will be tossed out.

    • On-line quizzes. On-line quizzes are given using RamCT. Each quiz covers the material presented in a chapter. For each quiz, each student will have 15 minutes to answer 10 questions, usually multiple choice, true/false, or matching. These quizzes are open book.

    • In class quizzes. There will be occasional in class quizzes given over the lecture material. Distance students will be given an on-line version of the quiz.

  • Midterm exam. The midterm exam will be held approximately 1/2 the way through the class. This exam will consist of a set of on-line quizzes and a take-home exam.

  • Final exam. The midterm exam will be held in the last week of the class. This exam will consist of a set of on-line quizzes and a take-home exam.
