About the course

The course is meant as a basic introduction to the field of artificial intelligence, with an emphasis on search, logic and Bayesian reasoning. We will cover the material in Russell and Norvig's Chapters 1-6 (search), 7-9 (logic) and 13-14 (Bayesian reasoning), with a slight detours into Chapter 10 (Knowledge Representation) and Chapter 24 (Perception). There will be one programming assignment and one writing assignment on each of the three major topics.
