Over the course of this semester, there are a number of assignments. These should be completed and turned in by the due date given on the assignment Web Page writeup or on the RamCT Assignments page.. Since an assignment must be submitted electronically, it is due by 23:59:59 of the due date (according to the time stamp of the file or message).

Regrades

After an assignment is graded and returned, you may correct or redo any part of the assignment -- previously attempted -- and resubmit the assignment for a re-grade once within one week of the date when it was handed back. Work re-submitted electronically is credited as of the timestamp on the submitted file(s).

You may not submit solutions to problems you did not attempt in the original submission.

Thus, it is possible to obtain a perfect score on the assignments. The purpose of an assignment is to introduce you to a new method, theory, or concept or to review the same. Allowing you to redo your assignment gives you an opportunity to better understand the concept and to correct possible errors in your thinking.

Note: You need only turn in those problems that you have redone. You do not need to resubmit the entire assignment solution.

The last date for submitting assignments for re-grading is the last week of classes for the semester (the week before exam week). Any assignments due during the last week of classes are not eligible for re-grading, because of time constraints.

Late Assignments

Late assignments must be turned in within one week of their original due dates. However, any assignment that is turned in late is considered a regrade. A late assignment cannot be resubmitted for a regrade.

A late assignment may not be submitted as a regrade. It must be submitted using the original submission link.

During the last week of classes (the week before exam week), any late period for an assignment may be shortened to less than one week.

Comments

The originally submitted assignment must be a serious attempt at completing said assignment. For instance, a partial answer to one question for an assignment consisting of ten questions is not considered to be a serious attempt at completing that assignment. A program that prints out "Hello World" is not considered to be a serious attempt for writing a program or Unix script for this class. In your regrade, you may not submit solutions to problems you did not attempt in the original submission.

This policy does not refer to examinations, term papers, or term projects.
