Comments on Assignments
By doing Web searches, you can undoubtedly find the solutions to all the textbook questions and problems on Web pages for various courses at different colleges or universities that happen to be using the same textbook as this course.
However, the purpose of the homework assignments is not to test your Web searching abilities. Instead, they are given to help you understand some of the concepts better.
If I am convinced that one of your solutions was taken from a Web site and is not your original work, you will receive zero for that question or problem. (Remember that I know how to search the Web as well.)
You are also supposed to do all your assignments alone, unlike some policies in other areas of the world. You also need to do all quizzes and exams in solitude, as we are testing YOUR understanding, not the understanding of the people with whom you associate. General questions on the Main Discussion Board are always allowed, but specific questions, such as"What is your answer to question XX?," or specific requests, such as "Can you post the code that you used for problem YY?" or "Here's my code -- please debug it for me?," are not permitted.
I apologize if I have offended you. Unfortunately, such problems have occurred in these courses before.
