Siewert xkcd 18 Votes
I like many different type of web sites and really have no top winner. One of my favorite websites is xkcd though because it provides me with nerdy amusement. Usually nerd humor is only understood by other nerds and nerds are hard to come by. Xkcd fulfills my need for nerdy humor.
Lawyer The Onion 9 Votes
The Onion is a satirical news web site, with all sorts of content from video to radio news, to horoscopes and articles. This is a favorite website of mine simply for the entertainment value alone, and for its variety of content. Plus, it even has links to real news on sites such as CNN and the Washington Post. Clearly, The Onion is America's finest news source.
Shoemaker addicting games 9 Votes
this is a great flash based game website. All games are free, and truly addicting as the title insinuates. Beware of using this site, as you may plan for a few minutes, and suddenly its been 2 hours.
Beveridge Slashdot 7 Votes
Slashdot is one of the earliest information consolidation sites with a user community. Several things are notable. First, the site is disciplined in terms of not dumping too much information back in my face. Second, my sense of what is important seems to square nicely with theirs. Third, it has a simple professional look to it.

They sell one deal per day at midnight(Texas time). Why I like it: I can buy stuff. A big button to click, and a large picture are the first thing I pay attention to when I load up the site at 11pm mountain time. Makes it easy to impulse buy. Oh and woot-Offs Bunch Oh Cats!
LeRoux Gamefaqs 7 Votes
This website is like WoWHead but covers a wide range of video games. It has a user submitted guides to old and new systems, and covers WoW but not with the same depth.
Guadagnoli WoWHead 5 Votes
The majority of my time I spend surfing the internet I'm looking for information. Most of the time this information is about the MMORPG World of Warcraft. This site is a database on anything in-game. Search for items, monsters, quests, etc all at your fingertips via javascript. Additionally, when you search for an item it has a running forum/blog about the item; comparing it to other items of the same quality. All of the information is contributed by the WoW community.
Schumacher stumbleupon 5 Votes
This is my favorite site because stumbleupon has a plugin for either IE or Firefox that lets you have hours of entertainment by finding random sites based on what you specify it to search from randomly. (Definately a way to waste hours at a time if you are bored or looking for any interesting webpages)
Castain Thottbot 3 Votes
This website is designed to help the players of World of Warcraft find information they need. It shows anything from where quests can be found to what materials are needed to create/craft an item.
Lessard cnet 3 Votes
I use this site to find tons of reviews for a range of tech products. The site also hosts a ton of free downloads of all kinds of software for almost any use. The website is very easy to navigate and contains excellent content.
Powers Drudge Report 3 Votes
All the news you need to know, and then some.... Simple layout, very easy to read, lightweight site, doesn't have annoying comments like some other news sites. Drudge has a fairly huge impact on politics and not to mention is usually faster at reporting stories than other major news outlets.
Tien Break 3 Votes
This is one of my favorite web sites. It is kind of like YouTube. The difference between Break and YouTube is YouTube has lots of different kinds videos and Break only has funny videos. People can post their own video on site. Then, others can leave comments and rates for the videos. This web site is good to watch some funny videos after programming or killing time.
Redman Gift Finder 2 Votes
I love this website because it's fun and useful! I use it all the time to shop for people by their personality!
Rusch Digg 2 Votes
This is a great site that I love to visit all the time. The have funny stories and current events.
Hoyer I Buy Power!! 1 Votes
I love to jump on this website and make the most ridiculous awesome machines I can. And then think about what family members and/or friends I can sell to afford said machines =D
Evans purevolume
Music is sweet! This site is a lot easier and faster than myspace's ridiculous music section. It has a neat layout too.
Liptak Zillow: RealEstate Searching Tool
My favorite website always changes. Right now, I like looking at houses, even though I can't afford one yet :) This site provides a neat 'bird's eye view' of property (most of Fort Collins is imaged) which can give a better representation than the normal top-view provided by typical satellite. Also, 'google' Larimer County Property Explorer. Amazing what kind of information is public; but hey, if realtors get to know about it, so should we!
Overgard The Independent Game Source
A blog about indie games. I really like indie games, because they tend to be really weird and interesting... and free.
