GECCO-2000 seeks financial support from individuals, corporations, or other organizations to aid in the granting of travel scholarships to students attending GECCO-2000. Last year, GECCO-99 provided $43,000 of student travel support to 100 student participants with the aid of GECCO-99 supporters.

Supporters of GECCO-2000 are acknowledged in the proceedings and on this web page, where a web link can be established to the supporter's web page.

GECCO-2000 Student Travel Grants

Student Travel Grants are available for GECCO 2000.

First priority will be given to students with papers in the conference and to PhD students who take part in the Graduate Student Workshop on July 8. This workshop is designed to allow PhD students to discuss their research in a stimulating environment and to get useful feedback on their work.

In order to qualify for this program, please provide proof of full-time student status along with an estimated budget of expenses. The deadline for applications is March 31, 2000. At that time, applications will be reviewed by the GECCO-2000 Conference Chair and decisions about awards will be made in April. As a condition of acceptance, you will be required to complete and submit an expense report to AAAI, accompanied by original receipts one month after the conference.
