Course Assignments

The purpose of the assignments will be to give you hands on experience with using the algorithms and tools for the AI topics covered in this course. Heuristic methods can look deceptively simple; consequently, there is no substitution for spending time coding and evaluating the algorithms on specific problems.

We expect to have assignments for the major topics in class. You will be asked to compare algorithms, heuristics or representations as part of the assignment. Your results and analysis will be included in the form of a short report with each programming assignment.

Assignment 1 has three parts:

1. Locations due Thursday 1/31 at noon MST
2. Distances due by Monday 2/4 at noon MST
3. Code and Questions Due Thursday 2/14 at noon MST

Assignment 2 has three parts:

1. Test case due Monday 2/25 at noon MST
2. Questions due by Tuesday 3/5 at noon MST
3. Code etc. due Tuesday 3/5 at noon MST
