I am an Associate Professor at Colorado State University. I joined the faculty of the Computer Science Department at Colorado State University in the fall of 2001. Prior to that (Fall 1997 to Winter 2001) I was an Assistant Professor in the Computer and Information Science at University of Michigan-Dearborn. I received the PhD. degree in Information Technology from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA in 1997. My undergraduate degree is B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering, which I received from Bengal Engineering College, India, in 1984. I also received the M.E. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Jadavpur University, also in India, in 1991. A word about Bengal Engineering College (or B.E. College as it is more widely known). It is the second oldest engineering college in India. Recently it has been converted to a university and is now known as the Bengal Engineering and Science University (BESU). A more recent legislation passed by the Govt. of India identifies BESU as an Institute of National Importance. By this act of the Indian Parliament, BESU will shortly become a post-graduate only institute and its name will be changed to Indian Institute of Engineering, Science and Technology (IIEST) Shibpur. |
