THIS IS FOR COMPUTER SCIENCE STUDENTS ONLY!!! PLEASE DO NOT TELL YOUR FRIENDS AROUND CAMPUS ABOUT IT. NOTE: all correspondence with DreamSpark must be done via a Colostate email account! The DreamSpark web page is: https://e5.onthehub.com/WebStore/Security/Signin.aspx?ws=53099b79-839b-e011-969d-0030487d8897&vsro=8&action=signout&JSEnabled=1 CONNECT AND DOWNLOAD ONLY VIA MICROSOFT INTERNET EXPLORER 1. Information regarding login and password: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- VERY IMPORTANT: DreamSpark accounts are created approx. the 2nd week of each term. DreamSpark login info is sent to each user's Computer Science email account. It can't be sent to any other email account, so you must access your CS email account to use DreamSpark. If you are not sure about your CS email address, go to this page http://www.cs.colostate.edu/cgi-bin/webmaster/userlist.cgi and look up your name. The email address is listed. If you do not know your DreamSpark passwd (it is a unique passwd -- not related to any CSU or CS passwd) then go to this page: https://e5.onthehub.com/WebStore/Security/Signin.aspx?ws=53099b79-839b-e011-969d-0030487d8897&vsro=8&action=signout&JSEnabled=1 Click on the link in "Forgot Your Password" (center of the page) and enter your CS email address. The passwd will be sent to your CS email account. You can't enter any other email address because DreamSpark logins are CS email addresses. Do not try to register! The only way accounts can be created is via the CS Department class registration lists. 2. The DreamSpark Program: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The DreamSpark Program enables CSU Computer Science faculty members, undergraduate majors, graduate students, and certain classes to acquire software at minimal cost. This service is provided using ELMS (e-academy License Management System) and supports multiple distribution schemes. Currently there are two distribution schemes available to CSU Computer Science users: 1) Media Sales. Under this scheme you pay for the cost of the media (cd-roms) and shipping and the disks containing the requested software is delivered to you. 2) Download. Under this scheme you will download the desired software at no cost. It is strongly recommended that if the media sales option is available for the software you need that you take that option. This is due to the fact that once you are issued a product using either distribution scheme you are required to get approval to reacquire that product (even if attempting to use the same scheme). This means that you are entitled to only one copy of a given product. IMPORTANT: whenever you download software from the ELMS Website, connect via Microsoft Internet Explorer ONLY! If you try with Firefox, for instance, you will have problems. Microsoft Office is NOT available via DreamSpark. It is NOT a development tool.
