- Summer 2007: eFIT: a new project on Future Internet Design:
In summer 2007, our effort on developing a future Internet architecture was funded as part of the NSF FIND program. Our proposed design separates edge and transit provider networks so conceptually all edge networks are connected via a conceptual transit wire . - Summer 2007: BGP Monitoring:
A new release of BGPMon is now available from the BGP Monitoring Project". New client software allows users to select the type of BGP updates desired and obtain BGP routing data in real time.

- Spring 2007: Prefix Hijack Alert System:
The Prefix Hijack Alert System [ USNEIX Secuirty Symposium 06 , NANOG38] is undergoing a major update. Notificaiton service should continue, but new features will be available in late 2007. Interested ISPs are encouraged to contact the PHAS project team for more information.
- Spring 2007: DNS Security Monitoring:
The SecSpider Project shows current statistics on the state of DNSSEC deployment. A more distributed version is under development and should be released on the main SecSpider page in late 2007. If you can host a DNS monitoring client for us, please see DNS Monitor Deployment Page .
- Spring 2007: Network Security Compettion with US Air Force Academy:
The second annual network security was held at the US Air Force Academy (USAFA) in Spring 2007 Over 60 students from Colorado universities assessed the security of a sample voting machine company that was created for the event. The teams identified security issues and provided assessments on how to improve the system. Colorado State and USAFA established the event in 2006 and the next event will be held at Colorado State University in Spring 2008. Interested students should join the Colorado State Network Secruity Red Team.
- Spring 2007: DNS Security and Secure64:
The NetSec Group has been working with Secure64 to develop a highly secure and highly available DNS server. Secure64 releaseed their product in Spring 2007. My comments on the project are discussed in the Wall Street Journal.
