My goals for this course is to have students experience what it means to do research. We will read several papers. Students will also write paper reviews. A project and final report also required this semester.

Your research plan will provide the foundation for the second part of this class, CS641. Your goal should be to do publishable research during this year; several previous students have published papers based on their work in CS640 and CS641.
