Herbert Fink was friends with the novelist John Gardner.
Gardner wrote the introduction to the book ``Herbert Fink, Graphic Artist"
and Fink did a series of etchings for Gardner's book of short stories
entitled ``The King's Indian".
The first print shown below is ``Lucy" from ``The King's Indian".
In one of the stories, the character Lucy appears as the daughter of
the narrator and is drawn by the character/artist John Nappier.
The model for Lucy was John Gardner's own daugther Lucy.
Some of the dialog between the narrator and Nappier appear to
parallel some published accounts of dialogs between Fink and
Gardner.
