Title: Energy & Reliability Frontiers in Embedded, Mobile, and High Performance Computing

Abstract:

The modern computing landscape is dominated by embedded, mobile, and high performance 
computing systems. Unfortunately, increasing energy consumption and deteriorating 
reliability across the spectrum of computing complexities threatens to derail the 
continuous growth we have come to rely on from information technology systems over the 
past several decades. This talk will provide a peek into the energy and reliability 
challenges facing the future of computing. I will also highlight some of the approaches 
being considered in my research group to overcome these challenges.
