Bio Sketch: ========== Dr. Alexander Afanasyev is an assistant researcher at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from UCLA with dissertation and following research work focused on the next-generation Internet architecture as part of the Named Data Networking (NDN) project, one of the prominent realizations of the Information-Centric Networking (ICN) vision. He is working on a variety of topics that are vital for the success of NDN/ICN, including scalability of name-based routing, auto-configuration, distributed data synchronization, application and network security. He is also leading the effort to develop the overall NDN codebase.
