Bio Sketch ========== Dr. Deborah Shands is a Program Director for the NSF Secure and Trustworthy Cyberspace (SaTC) program, which provides over $70M annually in funding for scientific research and education in security and privacy. She received her Ph.D. in Computer and Information Science from The Ohio State University. Deborah is a rotator to NSF from The Aerospace Corporation, where she consults on security architecture and engineering of space systems. Before joining Aerospace, she worked at McAfee Labs, serving as principal investigator for several DARPA-sponsored research projects. Much of her research has focused on scalable security for distributed computing environments.
