Computer Science Student and Alumna Win Awards at Grace Hopper and RMCWiC

Congratulations to our outstanding students and alumni!

CSU Computer Science alumna (2014) Anne Spencer Ross won 2nd Place in the research competition at the 2016 Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing. This conference is the world's largest gathering of women technologists. It is produced by the Anita Borg Institute and presented in partnership with ACM. Annie is currently pursuing her Ph.D. at the University of Washington.

Swapnil Sneham won 2nd Prize for best research presentation at the 2016 Rocky Mountain Celebration of Women in Computing. This conference is a biennial ACM Celebration event for the Rocky Mountain Region that encourages the career interests of women in computing. Swapnil is a Graduate Research Assistant pursuing her masters degree and is advised by Dr. Asa Ben-Hur.

Dr. Laura Moreno is an Assistant Professor with research interests in software maintenance and evolution, program comprehension, software analysis, and mining software repositories. Prior to joining CSU, Dr. Moreno completed her Ph.D. at the University of Texas at Dallas.

Dr. Louis-Noel Pouchet is an Assistant Professor with research interests in optimizing compilers, parallel and distributed systems, and high performance computing. Before coming to CSU, Dr. Pouchet was a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Ohio State University.

Paxton Kiraly joins our department as a Student Staff Assistant in the accounting office. Paxton is from Fort Collins, Colorado and is a junior majoring in economics.
