About the Course - Spring 2011

This course presents an introduction to computer architecture, beginning with digital gates and number representation; building up through the Von Neumann model, Instruction Set Architecture (ISA) and assembly language; and ending with C programs interacting with assembly programs. Most of the concepts in this course will be reinforced through programming assignments in C or assembly code.

Important Announcement: There will be a recitation on 01/18/2011 at 9:00AM in CSB-215, before the lecture at 12:30PM the same day. We urge section-1 students to attend. The recitation will cover basic C programming.
