CEBL 3.x has the following design goals:

• Modular development in a high-level language (Python) for rapid development of new BCI classifiers, filters and user interfaces.
• Emphasis on usability as an interactive, online system.
• Ability to use as an offline analysis tool.
• Plugable support for multiple EEG systems.  Support for g.tec, Biosemi and Neuropulse devices is planned.
• Ability to store and load EEG in a simple JSON file format.
