How to Use The WebCT Online System



What You Need To Do In Order To Use The WebCT Online System:

The WebCT system requires that you have electronic ID (eID)
    (a Holly or Lamar ACNS account/login).

If you do not have such an account, click on the following link:

Your Holly (/Lamar) account/login is also where people at the university will send you email (including some CS Instructors).

You should examine your email regularly or have it automatically forwarded to the email box/address you prefer to use.

Logging Into The WebCT Online System:

The WebCT system may be used through any web browser (e.g. InternetExplorer, Netscape, etc.)

Before going into how to use the system, it is important to know first how to exit the system,
  so as to avoid security breaches
    and to preserve your grades.

Using Your WebCT Course:

The following explains how to login to and use the WebCT online system:

  1. Click on the "CourseNumber" link for the CS course in your myWebCT page.

  2. You may now:
    • Click on the "Discussion Board" icon to post or respond to messages on the class discussion bulletin board.
    • Click on the "Grades" icon to check your grades.
    • Click on the "Online Drills" icon to take or retake online quizzes.

  3. When you are done with WebCT, be sure to to fully exit the WebCT system
    (thus preserving the security of your quizzes and quiz scores).
