I am co-organizing a
bioinformatics workshop focused on bringing together CSU researchers
interested in bioinformatics.
A PLoS tutorial on using SVMs for biological sequence analysis is
available
(joint work with C-S. Ong, S. Sonnenburg, B. Schoelkopf, and G. Raetsch).
research
The main focus of my lab is prediction of various properties of proteins:
their function, interaction partners, and remote homologs.
My work involves integrating diverse genomic data including protein sequence,
structure, expression, and functional annotations using tools of machine learning.
software/web servers
PyML: a machine learning environment
in Python.
CREME:
a cis-regulation module analysis and visualization tool.
